Just bought a new Burris Fastfire III for the 585. I am inpressed with it so far. I have had the Burris Fastfire I, Fastfire II, and a Leupold deltapoint. I like this sight the best! I really like the four brightness settings. Setting one set the unit for auto brightness. Setting 2. 3 and 4 reduce the brightness. On setting 4 the dot is a true 3 MOA dot and covers appox 3 inches at 100yds. On my Fastfire II The alleged 3.5 MOA dot covers about 6 inches. Also, the calibrated adjustments work much better than the Fastfire II. I have shot 20rds with the Fastfire III on the 585 and I believe it will hold up as the fastfire II did on the 585 for 200rds with no problems. This is a 100 yard target shot from the bench.

I like that set up. I may have to get one of those! Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Me too, I want one for my 500 Jeffery! Maybe I'll give my Leupold 1.5-5 to my son to put on his little 416 Rem. Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"
