Ken Cline45-120 case strength
Is the 45-120 modern brass (Norma) equal in strength to 45-70 brass? In other words, will it take the same pressures as Ruger #1 45-70 loads? I am building a Ruger #1 in this.
Case capacity is slightly higher than 458 Lott, at lower pressure it should be able to meet Lott velocities?

jeffeossoi have it from creditable sources that modern 45/120 (also known as 45 basic, 45 rcbs) is the SAME as 45/70

Ken ClineAll the measurements indicate so, but I was just double checking. Obviously, there isn't much information about hotloading this cartridge available online or elsewhere

GrandpasezKen - Sectioning cases is best way to tell
how strong they are built in the base and the
corners. Compare both. Ed.
