You dont have to be over the hill to like the 9.3. I'm 32 and prefer the 9.3.

I'm 26 and have had my 9.3 for two years now. I went to it from the 338 Win Mag, with five down, less recoil, and more bullet weight it was and is the better mousetrap.

That said, I am going to get a 375. Not because I think it's better, but because I think its cool! Big Grin For me its about the guns, not the cartridges.

Wow, that's a tough choice for me. I have identical Sako AVs in both 375 H&H and 9.3x62. Weight's not a factor because they both weigh the same. I'd bring both and alternate, but sense it's for plains game and I have to make a choice, I'd go for the 375 H&H. Lou

Another pointless response here. I am 64, have been shooting a 375 Model 70 with Syn stock for about 8 years, Weight about 9 fully ready. Handloads 270 grains at 2700+, 300 Noslers at about 2550. I don't mind recoil, but it does pop a little bit. I figure if I can shoot it anybody can. Load it down a hair and its a pussycat. You can build one to about 8.5 with scope and you won't mind shooting it. I love the 375, worlds greatest elk rifle at anything under 350 yards. Lots of bang.flops (I hate that term, but I don't like tracking elk all over the mountains either.)

If you shoot it well, there is no reason to leave the 9.3 at home. They both kill well.
