I bought a gun rag at the grocery store while my watch band was being replaced. There was a very nicely done article about our very own Michael, and his line of sawed off big bores. (I will scan it and send it to Michael. Everybody else should buy their own copy.)

Thanks for the heads up, but can you tell us what magazine it is or do we need to guess? =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= DRSS; NRA; Illinois State Rifle Association; Missouri Sport Shooting Association “One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce, and canonized those who complain.” – Thomas Sowell, “The Vision Of The Anointed: Self-Congratulation As A Basis For Social Policy” .

Bro' Doc Dart: Is it the latest, in the Oct. 2012 G&A? Doc M has them all PDF-ed here, so you might not need to send him a scan: http://www.b-mriflesandcartridges.com/Articles.html Scroll down and check the "Articles" area. Getting to be a lot of them. Seems to have taken the shooting world by storm. Tough to keep up with the latest in Continuing Terminal Ballistic Education (CTBE), eh?

Hey Lawndart! Yeah man! Thanks! In the last month or so there has been a flurry it seems. There is the one in Rifle Firepower, by Jon Sundra. I think this must be a new magazine. I thought it was very good and pleased with it. Then the G&A with another piece by Layne Simpson on the 50 B&M AK. Layne loves that lever gun of his in 50 B&M AK. This will be the third piece he has done on it, one in Shooting Times, another in Rifle Shooter. Then Daryl Lenkic in this past months Australian Shooter did a piece on the bullet tech we have done over the last few years, ending with the BBW#13s. Daryls second piece, first one a nice article about the B&Ms a year or two ago. Daryl is so enthusiastic he is a B&M dealer now in Australia and a CEB Distributor as well. I appreciate the offer to scan one for me, but I found the Rifle Firepower a week or so after it came out, and then picked up the G&A at the WalMart! HEH......... Daryl had to send me a copy of the Australian Shooter. I do have them posted as RIP said, anyone wants one get it at the B&M site. Thanks for noticing. The article in Rifle Firepower was very well done (In my opinion). FWIW, IMO Michael approached the line of cartridges much as Don Allen did twenty years ago. The 404 Jeff is an awesome powder carrier (not so good with water). It feeds nicely, and you can dial up or down the volume by picking where your cutoff wheel hits the temperature scale on the side of the donor case. Then there is that matter of the world's most bitchin' enclosed shooting lane. Hmm, rent a CAT D-8 (and driver), dig a hole eight feet deep, by five meters wide by 105 meters long. Write a check (ouch) for the concrete, put in an air circulation system and audio absorbent system, push the dirt back over it all (do NOT forget the ceiling/roof). Voila, 57 degrees year around. Might as well put the kitchen table on the left side, just like in Michael's range. Of course, the short barrel is the true touch of genius. That concept works with the M-97 chopped and channeled "Pirate Gun"; of course it would work just as well in the Model 70 concept. L/D

LawnDart Not sure what you saw but I think that photo was from the 50 yard bench. About 20 feet of that spot is a tad narrow, as I have a room just to the left of the bench, an extra loading room. Beyond that the range widens out to a full 20 feet wide and 50 yards long. Full Air Condition already. Two large exhaust fans in the back already installed. Acoustic Foam and sound barrier already installed inside walls. Since we don't give a damn about anything but a big bore rifle, we never need more than 50 yards. While it is not buried under ground, the Air Con keeps it pretty cool, and lot's and lot's of sound barrier and insulation, keeps it from getting too hot, even on those 110 degree SC days of July/August! Thanks! I appreciate the kind words, and I was pleased with the articles that have been done in the last month myself! Hmmm, think I'm seeing a .458 B&M in my very near future. Michael, the next WSM model 70 we get in, just may have to end up in MY gun safe!

It is very difficult to go wrong with the 458 B&M. Brent and I are helping a friend of his get ready for his first Safari, between the 3 of us, we have chosen a 18 inch 458 B&M as the rifle/cartridge that will serve him well in the field. It is probably tied right now with the 50 B&M as being the most popular, might even edge out the 50 by a small margin. It's an easy rifle/cartridge to work with.
