Thanks. I figured it probably was. Makes more sense to me too. How much of an improvement in extraction power do you think you achieve with the cock on closing as opposed to a cock on opening set-up?

I don't think I get any great power as such, as the bolt handles on the Enfields and Ruger are an inch longer
for leverage, with big knobs.So it is about feel to see
if there is a hangup or stickiness, not extraction power, as I have leverage to
bend rims either way.Ed.
