I talked to a fellow at Huntingtons (http://www.huntingtons.com) today about Horneber brass. He said they are not importing Horneber any longer, and will carry Jamison instead. There is some remaining stock of Horneber brass at Huntingtons for anyone who is interested. And the new Jamison brass is in stock.

Is that for all Horneber calibers?

I knew Jamison was making the 505 Gibbs brass, but what about the other odd-balls, i.e.: 375 flanged mag?

I don't think Jamison is making the low volume stuff (yet). He is making .500 NE, which is nearest and dearest to me. But the crucial fact is that Huntingtons will no longer import Horneber brass. Frowner

So, forgive my ignorance, what is this Jamison stuff? Is it OK? I am interested in 450x 3 1/4. Don't need any now, but will eventually.

I have met Mr. Jamison and toured his plant in Sturgis, South Dakota, across the street from Dakota Arms.

I sent him the defective A-Square made brass for CZ's .505 Gibbs, and he was rapidly able to come up with .505 Gibbs brass that works. thumb

He makes the .408 Cheyenne Tactical with the same case head he uses for the .505 Gibbs. Maybe one shouldn't load his .505 Gibbs to +60,000 PSI, but the Jamison brass would never have a problem with it.

Having Jamison replace Horneber: A good thing. Especially since Jamison Brass in the USA is a whole lot less expensive than Horneber, and the quality is equally good. thumb

Jamison don't have a Web presence.
Their contact details are:

Jamison International
3551 Mayer Ave
Sturgis SD 57785 USA
Phone: 605-347-5090
Fax: 605-347-4704

E-Mail: jamisonintl@rushmore.com

Huntington's don't yet list Jamison brass, as such. But they now list .500NE 3.25" under their house brand 'HDS' banner.
This could be Jamison manufacture?

Cheers,
Doug
