Hi: Anyone have any experience with the Browning bolt action rifles built with the Sako actions? Dan

They built .284W,.308W. .243W,.22-250 and this before Remmington introduced it commercially on the medium Sako action. This took place about when Browning-FN quality started to decline and these are "nice" rifles, but, not quite up to the 19-58-65 versions. There may have been other chamberings, I cannot remember and these rifles now seem over-priced on the used market, IMHO. I like the FN-LE Brownings and am not overly keen on these; I would not pay a high price for one.

The .243 I had and I believe all the other browning sakos rifles were built on the L-579 action. My .243 was a good rifle but my smith wanted it more than I did. He and lots of other guys , really like the actions for custom rifle building. I think if I got a good deal on a L-579 in ..308 it would be hard to pass up. Cabella's want a ton of money for them. ...tj3006 freedom1st
