| Thanks Rob. I have had several M-70s but I have not seen a Mark X before. From the description, the Mark X looks small compared to the CZ 550 Mag. so I wanted to see how it compares to the M-70. Anyway, I hope to have a chance to check one out when it becomes available again. Cheers! Ming |

| M70 is first as it has the three position safety and a nice trigger. Needs some work and tuning to be a fine rifle. Mark X is ok if you install a decent trigger, install a three position safety, and work over the magazine and feeding. M70 is still my preference, especially Pre 64.
Late Mark X actions, with the cross button magazine floorplate release, have a reputation of the floorplate opening under heavy recoil and dumping the cartridges at your feet. Not nice if one is in a jam. Early Mark X actions had the standard Orberndorf release and work fine. |

| Thanks John for the insight. According to the picture, the new Charles Daly Mark X actions do have the cross bolt floor plate release so I take this as no good. Anyway, I have to check it out closely before getting one. Later. Cheers! Ming |

| Pumpkinheaver,
May be the 25-06 does not generate enough recoil to open the floor plate. Thanks for the info though. Cheers! Ming |
