Another question.
I'm in the infancy planning of a buff hunt maybe in 08. Never had any experience with bigger bores (since .375 isn't genuine bigbore)
Could you guys that know list your preferences for factory guns, I can't afford a custom. If its not too much trouble please list 3 in the order of your likes. I'm lookin .375 H&H

1) Winchester Model 70 Safari Express.

It is the only factory rifle available in LH, .375H&H, and CRF I can find. Big Grin

probably the best .375 ( and I didn't see that you wanted left hand) is the M-70...next is a used Whitworth and then look to the CZ

1. Ruger RSM

2. Winchester M70

3. CZ American

The best "as delivered" is in the order listed for functionally and cosmetics. The only thing I felt I had to do on the Ruger was a trigger job (though the riflesmith talked Me into bedding it).

The Win got the same plus some sight and feeding work.

I don't have a CZ but I understand it needs most of the above plus added cross bolts.

You milage may vary Big Grin

Roi

One thing more, the RSM is in 458 Lott not 375HH, but the Winchesters are.

Mac, I need a Rt handed rifle. I'm not ready to buy yet. I've got plenty of time to gather more info and shop around. Good deal pop up every now and then. Thanks for the info.
By the way, are you ready to reveal what your project is with those 10/22 barrels?
