John Charlie,

You have an Ultra Mag Winnie? Is it a custom shop gun or a factory gun?

I know it has a different magazine box, but can you tell if it also has a different follower?

I have an idea I'd like a LH .300 UM Winchester Model 70.

Thanks,

Steve

Boise Gun Company ordered a stainless 300 Ultra Mag for me yesterday. The have a 375 H&H and a 300 Win Mag in the racks. When mine comes in I'll measure the box, follower, and springs on each rifle and send you the results.
Send me a PM. I will be getting rid of the barrel, and eventually the box and follower as the action gets turned into a 404 Jeffrey.
I would recommend against a 300 Ultra. They burn a lot of powder, and burn up a lot of barrel for no advantage that I can see. I am not a sworn officer of the caliber police however, so all I can say is "God bless your pursuit, and full speed ahead"
