I use Hornday 475 Linebaugh pistol bullets for plinking (400 grains).

Anybody have a source for cast bullets for the 470 nitro? The lighter the better. RCBS makes a mold for a 500 grain, but I was hoping for something 400 grains or lighter to use for plinking.

Thanks!

Following up on the idea of a lighter charge, in the 470 NE I suggest 45 grains of XMP5744 behind a 500 grain lead bullet.

http://www.castperformance.com/ makes a few. (.480 Ruger / .475 Linebaugh bullets). I've been using the 425 gr gas check bullet. I haven't done enough work with it yet to recommend a load but it shows promise. (Too many rifles; too little time! )
