Is this book any good for big bore load information?

I have an older edition and I think it's only factory loaded ammo ballistics if I remeber correctly...

No load data to my recall...

You are correct about that!

Besides looking here in this forum there's

www.nitroexpress.com

and a fair book

Big Bore Cartridge Load Data Collection
by Pierre van der Walt
published br Zimbibooks

That is what it's name says, a collection from various sources.

I have edition #3. It noted that about 25% of the loads had been discontinued, and the year those loads went to the dumpster. I do not know if the new edition still lists those loads.

I find my manual useful in that it gives the factory muzzle velocity. That give me an idea of the general range to shoot for. Interestingly, the big three factories list loads in excess of SAAMI specs.

There is a shortage of cartridge listings in the big bore load area, and short thrift is given to the overseas loads, many of which are reasonably popular here.

With some feedback when you buy your edition, I will probably buy the 4th manual.
