I took the plunge and purchased a Reimer Johannsen rifle in 500 Jeffery. I don't know if I should have glass bedding done or shoot it as is from the manufacturer. It was fired 10 times and everything looks solid. Any opinions?

A Rheimer Johannsen is no CZ550. I would use it in all confidence. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

If it were mine I wouldn't bed it. It would devalue the gun and I bet it won't shoot measrurably better. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Don't do anything to that Johannsen. It is ready to go hunting.
