I am thinking about turning my 416 Rigby into a 500 A Square. If I both rifles weigh 10.5 pounds, how much harder is the 500 A Square going to kick me? Load would be 570 Barnes X at 2300 fps. Would someone who has shot both, or similar, please let me know what you thought. Thanks!

If you don't change that idiotic European hogback stock on the cz550 into something designed to handle recoil, you are likely to get the front receiver ring smacked into the center of your forehead first shot.
If you put a good brake, such as a Vias on the rifle, install a well-designed stock, and achieve 12 pounds of total rifle weight, the recoil will be very bearable.

Recoil will feel like 2x the 416 rigby, with a 10.5#, and about 1/2 again in a 13... without a brake... with a brake, well, a bmg can be pleasant to shoot with a good brake.. mike's is like 18#, with a brake, and kicks next to nothing... and roars like a cannon
It should kick you hard enough to knock some sense into your empty head.
Please post pic of your "416".
If not, please go back under the rock from whence you came, Ms Troll, Dr. Waffle House, Todd E., Axle, NRAChick, and with all your various persona's, et al..

Judy Judy Judy- It will kick the shit out of you! One tip, buy some high grade industrial strength SUPERGLUE for the repair of your new set of eyelashes. Shoot both right and left handed so that the scars match perfectly. You'll be glad you did! -Rob

Thanks to those of you who actually answered my question. I guess the rest have not actually shot a 500 A Square. They must just like to pretend, and talk about shooting their imaginary 500 A Square rifles here at AR!
Knowing how to properly bed a big bore rifle does not require first hand shooting experience with a 500 A Square, by the way.

I haven't been on here in quite awhile, so when I saw a post from "Judy" in the big bore section, I actually thought that maybe, just maybe, there actually was another woman who shot a big bore! But it was not to be!!! Just another troll, I guess... some things just never change, do they? Bummer. (Of course, I haven't shot my .416 all fall. Hubby bought me a 7mm-08 last spring, so I've been playing with it. Downright tame, huh? )
