Friends, I was at a gunshop today and found a Marlin GG on the used rack. I was told it was the "centenial" model? It has an 18 1/2 octigon, blued barrel, and an extended cartrage tube and a gold bead front sight.(Same as my FA 83) The stocks seems nicer than most I've every seen. The action is still a bit stiff, I can not believe alot of rounds have been pushed through it. I could not find any scratches or damage on it. This shop offers a 90 day warrenty & will extend that for a full year for $20. I've delt with them before and felt that I was treated fairly. What do you feel fair market price is on this one? BTW - I'm buying it as a shooter.

Recent prices are from $450-$550 depending on the store. The first thing to do is smooth the action and get a 3# trigger on it. Then, the gun will shoot better than you can. Maybe a new set of iron sights would be in order or not. Some folks just love to put scoped on their short Marlins. YOUR DECISION.
