Griz,

I used a Fiberclass Sako for about 10 years in 375 H&H. It was light, reliable and accurate. It held 4 down in the mag, had no irons, but the only real knock on it is; it is not a CRF.

You have to decide what is important, for you. For me, I eventually sold it for a CRF 375 H&H. I think that CRF is a must have in a DGR, and a 416 Rem it is in that category.

Now I love Sako's, have 4 currently, but for a dangerous game, I prefer, a CRF.

Your choice,

Bob

I shot one, some years ago, the recoil off the bench is rather noticeable, especially with 400 grs. over 82 grs. RE-15. It was a nice rifle to handle and very accurate.

I strongly agree with the CRF comments and don't own a rifle-out of 33-without it. However, for a pushfeed rifle, I would take a Sako over ANYTHING else and a pre-72 L61r over a current "classic" Mod. 70, in any caliber, DGR or otherwise.
