I have picked up a Whitworth barreled action in .375 H&H, and need a stock. Is there a Laminate made inletted for this barreled action that would be suitable for the .375?

According to BusMaster007, Hogue makes a stock for your Whitworth also try Boyds.

Sarco
lists a Mark X Magnum stock but I do not know how good it is. I picked up a McMillan but it will require some extra work.

Any stock inleted for a Mark X will work. You will just need to open it up in the front for the mag box. If inleted properly and with a cross bolt added any quality laminate should work.

MtnGun,

I have a Boyd's JRS laminate that used to hold a Whitworth. It's crossbolted and with a second, hidden crossbolt behind the mag box, with a 1.25" Kick-Eez pad. PM me if you're interested.

Here's the links to HOGUE:

The bottom rifle pictured in the top photo is the 'Whitworth/ZASTAVA/Remington 798' :
http://www.getgrip.com/main/overview/overmolded.html

Mauser 98 style stocks:
http://www.hogueinc.com/getgrip/merchant.ihtml?id=515&step=2

Fits Military and Sporter actions.

Drop in fit for “sporterized†M98 large ring Mauser and Czech-made Mauser VZ 24. Will expressly drop-in fit virtually all M98 trigger mechanisms factory or aftermarket with no modifications.
Barrel channel will free float most #2-#3 taper barrels. Stock channel measures 1.180" at receiver and .820" at tip of fore-end. Rubber lined barrel channel can be easily enlarged for larger barrels or to fit military stepped barrels.
Stock relieved for bent down or bent down and swept back bolt handles. Straight military bolt handles will also function in stock.
Designed with hidden cutout for sliding style side safety. Gap will not show on rifles with common wing style bolt safety but can be easily modified to accommodate side safeties.
Floor-plate cutout for shorter FN floor-plates without lock screw on front tang. Rubber can be easily cut with rotary burr to accommodate longer style front tangs.
Floor-plate inlet relieved for push-button style hinging box magazine door.
Weight 2 lbs 6ozs

Product code: 98000

The full-bedding block model 98002 is a bit more expensive.
That's the one I'd choose for the new 798/.458 I'd like to build ( if my post-open-heart-surgery health will allow it! ) Wink

I bought one of the Sarco stocks last year when I was building "The World's Cheapest 458". It came without hardware, but appeared to be an Interarms stock and fit the VZ24 I was using very well. The magazine box cutout was too long, since it had been made for a 375 magazine, but other than that was a really nice stock for the price (came without reinforcing bolts, but was machined for them). If you have a long action magnum, it would be a great way to get a serviceable stock cheaply.

I just sent my mark X off to accurate innovations for new stock. Look at them they have an aluminum bedding system and are reasonable. If You want an older fajen thats finished and checkered decently I would sell mine. Cheap boatammo@msn.com
