As we posted at other places on this forum, GAHUNTER and I shot Mbogo375's Wesley-Richards .450/.400 3" double. I've included the target below. These shots were from a standing position with no rest at fifty yards. Obviously the sights would need to be slightly adjusted for our individual cheek weld to bring the group down a few inches, etc., but I'd love to have a shooting contest with whomever has Ray's "Sweet Thang". I hate to say it Mr. Atkinson, but I'll bet it would be close as to has/had the most accurate rifle. I got goose bumps everytime I heard the action close. It sounded like a vault at Fort Knox. Tight! Craftsmanship surely doesn't come off an assembly line. [ 05-16-2003, 21:39: Message edited by: JudgeG ]

Nice shooting Gents. I think a 450/400 double is the best Hunters Dangerous Game Rifle around. Anything bigger, if you can handle it as well as the 400 is just extra icing on the cake. Plus it is not too big and heavy for pigs ,or elk, moose, bear, etc if hunted and shot fairly close up, that is where the fun is,[ for me anyway].

JudgeG, Don't forget that you were using the standard bead, and GAHUNTER was using the flip-up "moon sight", which could account for some variation in POI. All in all it was a great afternoon . Jim
