I just picked up a FN comercial action which will become a 9.3 X 62. I want to stock it in wood with a clasic African look. Does anyone have pictures that would help in designing the stock.
Thanks
Dr B

Dr. B,

Page 169, in Wolfe Publications "Big Bore Rifles and Cartridges". The article on "The Indomitable 9.3x62" by Al Miller has in my opinion a photo of one the spiffiest looking 9.3's stocks I've ever seen complete with rounded pistol grip and side panels. Kinda Tuetonic but then again many of these probably made the trip to Africa too.

Good luck & have fun putting your 9.3x62 together!

Cheers,

They call it African, and I call it cane.
Don't worry Gerry can make first rate rifles too:

I found this business a few months ago and saved the link. I have never done business with them so can't recommend or not. Dunno.

But, they have pretty pictures.

Let me know if you do business with them, (recommend or no) because I'm thinking of ordering something for a classic mauser I'm building.

I've seen mixed reviews on them. I bougt one stock from them about 5 years ago. It wasn't really as represented as to grade.
