Hi where do you 470 Capstick shooters get your dies and brass? Do you just expand the mouth 416 Rem Mag brass then resize? Does everyone use RCBS dies? Also does anyone make a neck sizing die for 470 Capstick? Sorry for all the questions, considering rebarreling to 470 Capstick and want to understand what I'm getting into.

Thanks,
Chuck

Regards,

Chuck

1. Redding makes 470 capstick dies.

2. www.huntingtons.com carries 470 capstick brass.

I use RCBS dies, never a problem.

The Hornady H&H basic cylindrical brass is an excellent way to make brass. Excellent quality and price. It has only an "H" as headstamp, and lots of blank space to stamp or engrave whatever.

I got HDS properly headstamped brass from Huntingtons too.

I'm building on a CZ 550 Safari Classic. I had it glass-bedded, dual crossbolts installed, action job and a recoil reducer added at the CZ custom shop as part of the order. I'm going to send it to Ed Plummer soon for his CZ Upgrade #1

Here's a link to the rifle as it is, I bought a Leupold 1.5 - 5x 20mm scope and some Talley QD rings for it, the rings should be in next week.

Buffalo Arms bought up all the left over BELL brass, eh?
Better grab it before it is gone. Not making it anymore.

TWIST for a 470 Capstick?

Mine is 1:10" and works great. Big Grin

Ought to be able to get 5 down and one up the spout for a six-shooter with the CZ 550 Magnum.
A most excellent setup, and the long box will allow long loading for extra case capacity, higher velocity or lower pressure, assuming throat and feeding work. thumb

Some .475 bullets get quite crowded by the ~3.6" box of an M70. The ~3.8" box is much better.
