DavidC, It's a MacMillan, gray paint, Decelerator recoil pad. I like the painted stock because it gives just enough roughness to the finish to make it easier to hold when wet.

I think that Phil's article a few months ago on the 458 lott vs. the 458 win pretty much illustrates the fact that the Lotts performance gain is so small that it is superfluous. "Who cares!"

Midway says target date moved to April 20 now -- latest.

For some reason those 410 gr soft point woodleigh bullets kick way harder than other 400gr 416 bullets.I bought a bunch of 416 weatherby with 410 woodleigh bullets for $27 a box.I think I bought 1200 rounds.I deloaded it necked the brass to 338-378 weatherby and used the bullets in my 416 rem mag and the Norma mpr powder in my 338 win mag.The woodlieg bullets the 410 gr soft point expand to .92 caliber and will go very deep into animals.I also got boxes from midway I think 500 to a box for $123 I think and boxes of 100 for $23 .I bought up a few thousand.I think I have around 3000 of those bullets.The will kick the crap out of you feels like.I got 1.5" groups at 100 yards with both myu guns.I actually shot some 200 yards groups for fun.They were all 3" or less good enough for elephants.
