I have ordered a set of Warne QD`s for my BRNO 602(.375). What is your opinion of them? Also, I already own a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8, is this scope too large or shall I go down to a 1.5-5 scope?
Are there any replacement triggers to suit my rifle? It is excellent when it`s "set" but overly long and hard to shoot accurately when it`s not.

Sounds good to me. All three components sound like they will come together nicely in a very useful package. Depending on your application your scope should work well. If this rig will be mostly for fairly close work on large animals perhaps the 1.5-5 or 1.75-6 might be better suited, then again so might irons, but for an all around solution sounds like you've hit it.

I have Warne Maxima bases and QD rings on a Marlin 1895, 22" barrel, with a Leupold Vari-X II 1-4x20mm. Returns to POI everytime I remove and remount the scope. This combo sees a steady diet of 405 grain Remingtons at 1950 fps.

I have limited experience with the Warne QDs , but so far I can agree with Jackfish's observations. I put some on a Brno 22f in January. After zeroing the scope, I fired two three shot groups taking off and reinstalling the scope between each shot. Those two groups were the same size as the earlier groups fired normally. The rings appear to be very sturdy and well made.

I have the Warne's on my .375 and the wife units .300 WM. I had mine off and on while practicing for Africa and found them to be exact on the return most of the time. One click on the scope was all that was needed, and often that was too much.

I highly recommend them. Have the base screws taken out to 8X40 if not already done.

Cheers,

Sam

safari hunter,
Just had the Warne QD's installed on a BRNO 602/375 that I recently purchased. So far, so good. I put a Khales 2-7 on my rifle.

Safari Hunter,

I have Warne QD (medium height) on my CZ 550 in 375 H&H with a Leupold VX-3 1.5 to 5.

At the time of looking for QD I wanted Talley mounts, but they were not available so I went with the Warne product.

2 years on.....no problems!

Some will say go Talley or Leupold, but Warne will serve you well.

I've got the Warne QD's on my 458 Win with a Leupold 2-7 shotgun scope, no problems although I only have about 100 rounds through it. Your set up with the 2.5-8 should be just about perfect on a 375.

DRB,
Where is the front ring located in relation to your Leupold scope? I'm about to put a 2.5x Compact on my CZ550 Magnum and it looks like the front rings will cover or be infront of the "gold ring". I'm not sure whether this is good or bad?

I have Warnes on my 416 Ruger and with over 500 rounds through it, it STILL holds zero. I've also removed the scope and it returns. I've mounted a spare scope ( another Leupold 1.5X5x20mm, what else?Smiler on another set of Warnes as back up. jorge

I use Warne's on all my scoped rifles. I don't like lever rings, use the slotted knobs instead. They remove and reinstall within minute of critter.

I used to use them until they almost got me stomped, then I switched to Talleys, a move that I have not regretted...

I think they are pretty junky if you compare the workmanship against talleys and cost is about the same.

I have a couple dozen of them in all different configs and on rifles up to the .458 Winny, and even had them for a while on the .50 BMG. I never have had any trouble what so ever out of any of them. And talk about holding zero. That they do extremely well. I took the scope off my M15-AR (T) that was sighted in at 500 yards for load work up on my .458 SOCOM. It was mounted in Warne Ultra High Maxima Steel QD rings. After finishing with the load work, I dialed back the scope to where it was before and remounted it back on the M15. Much to my surprise, the bullets were right were they were supposed to be at 100 yards (11" high) and when I moved back to 500 yards, they were right back in the bull. If I had not seen it I never would have believed it. To hold a 100 yard zero is one thing, but to hold a 500 yard zero is quite another. Good testimonial to both the rings and scope IMO. For what it is worth, the scope is a 6-20x50mm Springfield Mil-Dot IR.

Thanks to everyone who has replied to this topic regarding the Warne mounts.

Does anyone know of any company that makes triggers for the BRNO 602???
