A couple of weeks ago I posted a question about 50 BMG cal rifles to gain a little more info before buying one. Well the new range rules came out for the range I usually shoot on and they don't allow 50 BMG rifles anymore. There are only a couple of ranges on Oahu for rifle shooting and I believe they don't allow them either. Well we only have about 19 months till we get back to America, maybe they will still be legal to shoot then. Steve E....... It surprises me that they haven't banned them over here in Hawaii yet. Just to point out a few of the 'Stupid" gun laws: A 6 inch Desert Eagle is legal but one with a longer barrel is not. One of the Browning (Mdl#?) bull barreled 22 Semi Auto pistols with the wooden forearm is illegal but take the forend off and it is legal. An Encore rifle or rifle frame you can buy over the counter with your Long Gun Permit but an Encore pistol or pistol frame you have to do the 2 week waiting period. I believe the deciding factor between the rifle/pistol frame is if when it is brought into the island with out a barrel if it is registered as a frame or a receiver. I don't remember which one they consider which. The list goes on and a lot of them are purely stupid. But hey somebody had to elect these people. Steve E.........
