.510 Bullets for 500 A-Square
Anyone out there have any ideas on where to look for a selection of .510 bullets for reloading 500AS? Can the .510 bullets for 50 BMGs be used? If so, where can I dig up data?. Thanx.

Howdy.
you just get a 500a2?

there's bullet weights from 350 to 900 bore riders. Yes, you can shoot BGM bullets, with proper loading.. .just will have to single feed from most actions.

midway has a good listing of commerical bullets, http://www.customcastbullets.com has casts http://www.custombrassandbullets.com have a wide selection of bullets, and http://www.patsreloading.com or http://www.gibrass.com used to have pulled bmg bullets

I have experimented with Woodleighs and Barnes bullets in my 500 A2.

The 600 grain Woodleigh solid is excellent. I have used it on elephant. The .510" Woodleigh softs are too soft for the .500 A2. At 2250-2300 fps, they turn inside out.

But I am waiting for the 570 grain Barnes FN solid. I will use that and the 570 grain Barnes X in future, as long as I can get them to group for me.
