What is left there in .375 Ruger Hawkeyes, price is $805 for any of them, 5 in the store now, more anytime desired it seems:

1 "Alaskan Black": 20" barrel, Diamond Black finish, Hogue stock, Alaskan model, don't know if it is chrome-moly or stainless

1 "Hawkeye Stainless": 20" barrel, gray matte stainless all over except for the black express rear sight blade with white line leading to the V, and black front blade with white bead, Hogue stock, Alaskan model

3 "Hawkeye Matte": 23" barrel, sexy walnut stock, matte black/blue finish, African model

Apparently Ruger is making plenty and they should not be hard to find. He even ships to Colorado. Wink

Kimber's .375 H&H "Caprivi" is "new for 2007" coming soon eh? I have not seen that one yet, will keep an eye peeled for it. thumb

They have a hard time keeping the web site updated. You really need to call and ask if they have it, or go fondle it in person. thumb thumb

The Kimber is a beautifuly looking rifle but kind of expensive at $3200. If what I read was correct in American Rifleman Nov 2007 it has a fatal flaw for a dangerous game rife. It is a standard length action and you have to tilt loaded rounds into the magazine to fit, but it will eject empties ok. What happens if you have a misfeed or misfire and can't eject the loaded round through the ejection port?

The Kimber Caprivi just does not float my boat. thumbdown

I do not care one bit for the style of the stock. With the wood even with the ejection port, looks like the bean counters figured a way to save some time and money.

srt, raises a good point about not ejecting a miss fired round.

I wondered about that myself. My interarms 458 Win mag also seems kinda tight w. 510 grs. -- I'll check it next time I go shooting.

Bad news on the Kimber Caprivi. This one won't last long either. thumbdown
The Ruger Hawkeye in .375 Ruger will be hanging on a long time. thumb

How much slop is in the actions on the little 375 Alaskan?? I hate slop. Can't shoot a rifle that clunks or has slop.

Thanks Mr. Slug! I might have to get one if there are positive reports and I can take a look at one.
