This is just a feeler to try and understand who might be interested in these two caliber brass, ONLY from someone other than Bertram 500 Jeffery 505 Gibbs Parameters.. ~$3 a round How many would you COMMIT for how long you want to wait? jeffe

.505 Gibbs. 60 cases. One year. Jeff, I think it is a good idea to be conservative and to get people to commit at $3.00, but if this goes, I think you will do better. Didn't Robgunbuilder get .585 brass from (group order) Horneber for (gasp!) $2.00 each?

Huntington just shipped me some high quality 505 Gibbs from Horneber in Germany. I paid about $80 per 20. MAST Technology will be making 505 Gibbs brass soon, as they told they are still working on the tooling. I also got some 408 CheyTac brass just recently for around $1.50 a piece. The 408 CheyTac brass are a little shorter than the 505 Gibbs brass so you cannot use the 408 to make the 505. Since 505 Gibbs brass are easier to get than the 500 Jeffery, it would be ideal for you to make your own wildcat cartridge based on it.

Well, I have a small supply of Bertram, some of which seem to be workhardening after being shot a few times, while others are junk, I would definitely commit to 20 cases (500 Jeff), but if it is really good brass (Lapua quality) I would certainly commit for more. As far as the wait, I wouldn't care, I have some brass and can shoot while I wait. Chad [ 12-01-2002, 05:23: Message edited by: Sooner ]

I'm in for 100 cases of .500 Jeffrey as long as it is Horneber or better. [ 12-01-2002, 10:14: Message edited by: DaveC ]

I'd be interested in 20, and would be willing to wait up to a year.
