So far, all I can round up are Leupold or Talley rings in the medium range (approx. .900 to one inch from top of bridge to center of scope). Does anyone make a lower one inch ring set for the 550? Someone at CZ told me you cannot get lower rings because of the bolt handle clearance to scope? I will be mounting a 1.5x5 VXIII Leupold on the rifle. Is Leupold making rings for CZ 550 Magnum now? I see from the Leupold website that they have "Leupold RMCZ" rings for the 527 or 550 Medium, but are those not the ones with just dovetail engagement without a recoil stop on the rear ring? I have seen them, I do recall now, but never gave them a second thought for the 550 Magnum, because the ones I saw did not have a recoil stop on the left side of the rear ring. Front and rear rings were interchangeable. Have I missed a new development? Or are you talking about screwing on a QRW base to the CZ? My low Warnes are not for sale. It is the only pair I have of that discontinued make. The Leupold 2.5x "micro-ocular-bell" is the only scope I have that allows the bolt to be worked with low Warne rings. You need medium Talley or medium Warne, lever QD, for the Leupold 1.5x-5x. That is about as good as it gets. Old post, copied that, just to waste some more band width: Talley Medium, 1.75x-6xE Leupold Warne Low (no longer made), 2.5x Leupold Badger rings, steel Weaver base, 4x-16X S&B with 34 mm tube CZ rings, socket head screw replacement, 2.5x-8x Leupold, with front ring back as faras it will go, flush with ejection port: CZ rings again, with 2.5x-8x Leupold, front ring as far forward as possible, works with this scope again: CZ rings with homemade levers using the socket head screw and Leupold QRW levers, timed just right. The levers are tapped out for the screw threads, then timed just right and locked with epoxy, leaving clean threads exposed to screw into the CZ ring. No adjustment of relative lever position possible after it sets, but the unit unscrews to remove the scope (2x-7x Leupold). CZ 30mm rings and 2.5x-10x "Eurolux" scope: Zeiss Jena QD mount integral to scope, 4x scope, windage adjustment is in the front part of the mount, two dials on top of scope are for elevation and focus. German post reticle. This is a BRNO ZKK 602, but it takes the same rings as a CZ 550 Magnum:

S&F, I degrease the rings before assembly with silicone adhesive. That is just some Breakfree CLP residue I carelessy left on the scope after rubbing the rings down for rust prevention, after assembly. I simply forgot to wipe them down after the ring treatment. A rub with a dry patch or dry paper towel will blend the black tubes back to uniform dullness. You see, since the scope-ring contacts are sealed tight with silicone adhesive, I can fearlessly "rust-prevent" on the blued rings. No chance of moisture or lubricant penetrating there! The silicone itself is peeled away after it sets and any residue is removed with gun scrubber. This may leave a dry scope tube patch that screams for blending after the rings are "rust-prevented." You might see a microscopic bead right at the ring edge, from the silicone, but the big patches you are referring to are lubricant that did not get cleaned up ... yet. No problemo. You can make them as pretty as you want, even with silicone adhesive. It can become invisible. If the rings are not sealed with silicone, then I am not so carefree in the oilcloth rub of the rings. In fact, I would rather let the rings rust than get any lubricant near them, if they are not sealed with silicone.
