Was reading the Nitro forums tonight and stumbled upon this. Had to share it. OUCH!!!! To quote; "My African hunting companion was shooting his Krieghoff O/U .458 with scope from the sitting position, when he decided to try shooting the top barrel first, using the rear trigger. Unfortunately, he forgot that he had already set the front trigger when he made this decision. As a result, when the top barrel went, so did the bottom barrel. The scope hit my friend so hard that it bent the scope tube! That is nasty!! Russ. You'll probably never NEED a gun. In fact I hope you never do. BUT IF you do, you will probably need it worse than anything you've ever needed before in your life...

Super glue is the ring eye's best friend.. I doubled a .470 off a bench and woke up in a puddle of blood with the rear sight stuck in my head.. A good reason to pull the rear trigger first. forget that BS about doubles having to be shot front trigger first and back trigger second, because the were regulated that way. They shoot to the same POI either way, that's a old wives tale. I have tested that out on more than a few doubles. The only reason to do the front trigger first is if you have a solid in one barrel and a soft in the other..I use a soft in the rear trigger and a solid in the front trigger for that reason. works for me. Long ago, when I was a lot less bright, I pulled both triggers on a side-by-side with 3" Nitro mags. I felt nauseous for the next ten minutes or so. I'm just wondering how the two would compare.

my understanding is that pulling both triggers at the same time is a lot like having two women at once, (not that I would know anything about that). Just sharing what I have been told, and no, I'm not going to post any pictures...
