It’s my birthday (turning 48 and getting old) so I decided to run off to the range and finish the project I have been working on.

It started when I saw some scopes on clearance at academy. One was a leupold vx3 2.5x8. I messaged Saeed on Instagram (where he has taken to mocking my blasers) and asked him if it was the scope he used. He replied yes and I bought it.

It stayed on my to do list till August when South Carolina deer season opened and I hunting with the Admiral at his lease in Hampton, SC.

I took a blaser bArrel and scope up and he brought down his mounting kit. Between setting up the day before opening day and while drinking an early afternoon single malt he mounted it.

As we all know real good gunsmithing is always done on a days inn motel bed.

I took it out to range today and shot some Remington 300 grain A-Frame.

125 yards and good wind

.60 approx moa

I have decided to name it “The Saeed”.

Saeed - You need to upgrade to the blaser r8 Big Grin

Blasers - MRGA - Making Rifles Great Again!!! Big Grin sofa

You have to hand it to Saeed that when I told him about it a while back he said it would be a shooter. He was right on the money.

Add in hand loaded Walterhog bullets and his could be a .25moa barrel like my 6.5creedmoor and 30/06.

Happy Birthday!

I'm 13 days short of 13 years, older than you.
