Beretta682EHello from the dark side
Truly the finest rifle platform out there
375 H&H
300 Win Mag
30/06
308 win threaded
6.5 creedmoor
22-250
204 Ruger
Now I need to shoot them all. My gut is 375 H&H will be the most accurate.
I think I am done with Blaser R8 for now.
Need to build and upgrade some rifles with Wayne at AHR and maybe get a cooper.
Biebs you suck.
Mike
You are now officially Mr Blaser!

Thanks Rick
I am looking at a
223 threaded
338 Lapua - not sure if works on regular r8 receiver
7.5 Swiss if it can be imported into us
Not sure what other receiver - maybe one of those Norwegian wood ones.

rodellYou are missing LOTS of calibers, trust me.
The 30-06 barrels I've seen are very accurate, but I've yet to find any of my calibers that won't shoot very well.

The scopes will get expensive then

I really want to shoot the 6.5 creedmoor.

May be you should try a half decent turn bolt rifle sometimes.
You will never go back to this funny looking contraption!
I absolutely refuse to buy any of the new fangled inventions from Europe where they have straight pulls, moving actions etc.
Normal turn bolt is what I like!
WALTER loves his Blaser, that is good enough reason for me not to like it!

I have plenty of normal turn bolt rifles and they work just fine. The R8 is one of the safest rifles to use. Break it down and put a stock/action in a smaller case that doesn't look like a rifle case, take several different calibers if you wish. Accurate and easy to use.

Beretta682EThe beauty of the blaser system is it’s simplicity.
It is superbly eingineered.
To me this it’s main appeal. I am not a tinkerer but I think most gun guys are. The ability to tinker appeals to them.
Blaser like apple is a close system. That appeals to me.

I am technical simpleton.
The blaser engineering genius gives me equal footing to all the gun cranks on product.
My shooting skill still leaves much to be desired

Blaser is a amazing product.

Those are his underpants that he cleans the Blasers with, like a typical Blaser owner.
His entire underwear collection is pictured here, three baby-blue, one off-white.
The cardboard box is his underwear drawer.
Most Blaser owners keep their barrels in their underwear drawer, with the cleaning rags.
That is efficiency, in the mind of a Blaser owner:

Very true cause once you transition to the blaser platform you sell your other outdated guns and spend all your money on more blaser stuff.
Kind of like getting a high end fishing boat - you wish less after that.
With blasers it just more blaser stuff

Mike
I think I see a streak on the white pair!
Todd, did your sister get her Blaser 500 double up and running yet?

dogcatI have multiple personality disorder as well...
I have a Blaser set up like that.
I have a selection of Biesen rifles that are stunning.
I have some Dakota's that make my mouth water.
I have several HS Precision takedowns that are incredibly accurate.
I have a number of Model 70's that are stars.
I have one Kimber that weighs about 3 lbs, best I can tell.
All shoot lights out... but the Blaser is the easiest to shoot and manage....
How could it be considered FINEST??
The bolt handle is on the WRONG side!!!

+1
The platform is exceptional - it is expensive but it is very worth it.
The scope mount is better than anything else out there.

Can be swapped out in a heart beat and converted to a right hand rifle in the neutral stock rifle (not the success model)

Ok Mike - don't lose credibility here! The last Blaser double I saw at a DSC auction looked like a gold encrusted cuckoo clock

I am not sure what is more funny: "The Garden State" or the "Mountains of New Jersey."
That comes from a guy born in Jersey City; best thing my parents ever did was move before I had any memories of the place. Nice to visit my relatives, but so glad I don't live there. Biebs must love it!

I was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey and my family moved out of there when I was 8 months old. I still cringe at the thought of what might have been.
