Does anyone know of witch material hornady makes the jackets for their full metal jacket bullets? Is the jacket strenghened and thickened at the nose of the bullet? According to some PH's the Hornady FMJ's performed poorly on biggame in africa last season!

Hornady's solids used to be steel jacketed, but they are now just some sort of copper alloy.

Hence, I'm not surprised at their poor performance these days.
