This bloke who ripped you off, get into him!
Forget that he is in the gun industry, Say you ordered a custom set of golf clubs and the same thing happened you'd be up the company like a rat up a drain pipe! He might be a fellow gun nut but so what! he has lied to you and still has your money. Does he live close? because I would turn up at his place in person and see what he has to say.

well thats my two cents worth. What it boils down to is that this bloke is stuffing you around and you should take all steps necessary to recover your money.

Thank you for your support my friend. Unfortunately we are across the country from each other, which makes things more difficult. Out of respect for Mr. Bastow's widow, I am not posting any more substantive information while she has a chance to try to work things out. I feel she is a very good person. And I also feel Mr. Bastow was a fine gentleman.
