fish280, Which project do you want to know about? The 4 bore has been submitted to the ATF, and I've been a bit too busy to work on the lever action lately. Hope to get back to work on that one after Easter.

Give me a few months to get the modeling done, and I will try and post JPEGs of the lever action. Sorry, fish if the project isn't moving fast enough for you. There is a bit more to it though than merely screwing a barrel into an action, like most the "experts" around here think is so very difficult.

Axel do you feel you have posted enough easy to pick fake photos to prove to everyone you were 'just kidding' back when you had your nervous breakdown?

Maybe a few more to prove you had everyone under control all along

Karl.

Don't worry about it Karl. I used to get accused on not having a .585 or a .600. Those accusations have gone away...

Don't worry Karl. ScottS accused me of not having any 8 Bores a year ago too, remember. That's when he had his nervous breakdown and tried to drown himself in the toilet.

I'm sure he will post pictures of his finished projects just like he always does.

Thanks guys I'm pretty secure
Although I think Axel may be feeling the strain the way he is pressing home his new 'weapon'

Now Axel what happened to you mate? I remember everyone would be tearing you apart (and you would falling apart)yet whenever I joined in you would pull your punches.
It was like I was the only nurse who could talk to the crazy guy..

Did you have a violent big brother or something? Lacked a father figure? Have I failed you somehow since then?
Please help me to help you

Karl.

Scott dear boy you should not get so worked up about posts I was specifically addressing to AXEL.

Tsk! tsk!

What happened to the resilient trolls we used to have?

The life expectancy of these new ones is one thread and three posts.

I'm almost ashamed of myself.

Karl.

PS forgot regulation smiley chain to show I am 'not upset 'and 'in control' etc.

Interesting about their project.4 bore that is. A
recap of what they did.Lets see, him and buddy do one in a few days.Including boring and reaming barrel, making rifling button(machining and heat treating!!),making a rifling indexer, etc.But no good picture of the barrel or the machine, or the button or the indexer they did it on; OR The hydraulic tractor powered
button pusher.Should they take over for the big barrel company that has screwed up two reamers and three buttons in
trying to set up for new run of 12 ga barrels?????????And 3 months time. I feel tremendously stupid, that I a gunnut
for over 55 years can't do things that they did in a
week, in 4 months time!!!And the stuff they did for ATF,to get a so-called approval for having a 4 bore,
they should share to help out the rest of us.Even though the 4 bore has been around for over a hundred years as a
standard case, grandfathered in before GCA 68!!!!!!!
On the whole an interesting process. Ed

As nobody seems much interested in ScottS or his "latest projects" lately and his posts go down the toilet, I've been expecting him to start a new thread. I don't think there has been a month since I became a member when Scottypoo wasn't "starting a new project."

Only trouble is they are all hot air.

Who made and heat treated broach in half a week. All broaches used by barrel makers has a big burnishing button

on to flatten and smooth lands that the broach or button made. OH,and you saying that you had trouble getting rid of

chips is crap as button rifling makes no chips. I asked 3 different barrel makers. And had the details of the process as to what a button does and looks like. And now for you.

You hating folks so bad on here that you keep playing the stupid mind games, put downs, fun making, etc, ain't what bothers me, but the fact that you are so screwed up a bunch of us are afraid you will try to cause trouble for our big bore work by being a dink and calling ATF complaining about our projects that are over 50 caliber. As far as the 4 bores out there,

just about all sizes, and makers them, in paper, plastic or brass cases; shot, ball, bullets

have been around long before GCA 68, but unfortunately the

ATF has some like you.. So we will work at getting a public list made, a get all our stuff on.Big bore nuts and the big bore hobby is special to me and you dinks ruin it a little..But only a little........Ed.

Axel,

You are an ejoyable target in one regard in that nothing goes to waste in the long run. Though you haven't replied to my last post I know it will be contributing to a future breakdown.
...I know you don't miss any of my posts.

Wow, Jeffe! We got another "promise to leave forever" from little Scotty. How many times have we seen that one? How many times has he been exposed for the liar that he is? How many times has he REALLY kept his word and left?

What is Scott's word worth on ANY subject???

Can you say "ZIPPO." His promises to leave aren't any more real than his "projects."

Well then show us the reamer, "broach cutter", hydraulic

system. etc, as if as you say we need help, Help us!!!!

You said RNS is covered because he got his case listed.

The 4bores are already listed on many lists. In many sizes and configurations. Some a hundred years old. So what are you getting listed. The gun?? Is this neccessary?

If this is neccessary-Will everyone building a 550 have to get permission for each individual gun. How about how about

any and all guns built in 577NE, 585nyati,600JDJ, 600Ne,700Ne,16 ga- 12 ga- 20 ga rifled,

or your favorite 600 OK. Show us what you filled out for ATF

so as you say we can be legal.Do they have a form. There is only one other on here that has dealt with ATF that I know

of, but yet you say you have had "dealings" with them. Are you a license holder. That is a scary plural

word and that word of yours is why I will get all my cases acknowledged by them, even though as I read the law it isn't neccessary..Anybody talking like you, without actually showing us what and how, to do this, we are supposed to trust!!!In reading GCA 68 I see no prohibition of anyone building a gun for themselves, as long as they don't make them for sale. Can I build cases and no guns legaly???So I can't in all of this understand why you have to register whatever.Did folks

break the law when they bought Tula 4 bore pump guns, without getting a paper from ATF. Did Ross when he got his

Evans 4 bore??????Ed.

no kidding, pecos.

by the way, except for occasional forays into car-related and Bible-related sites, i usually do not hang around forums other than those dealing with rifles and hunting.

it is only in the gun/hunting forums that i see multiple personalities. even the most strident of teen car enthusiasts seem to keep their rants confined to single personalities.

is there something endemic to firearms forums - especially those with a political bent - that draws trolls and multiple-personalities? admittedly, i am drawng from a limited variety of forums.

this is a serious question, by the way, not a dig at any member of this forum.

Interesting question, Fish. I think people like Scott Sweet and his equally flakey wife, Diane, aka ~judy et al, are somewhat "unique." As I've said, any HONEST person who really is what they say they are has no need for "multiple identities."

Liars and frauds don't think like normal people; however, and ScottS isn't smart enough to have figured out yet that his BS isn't going to fly regardless of what name he wants to pen with it. (He's not real bright. Just thinks he is.)
They hang around forums like this because they aren't any more successful in real life interpersonal relations than they are on the internet.

I suspect every forum has a few leaches, some more obnoxious and full of it than others.

I used to hang out a lot on bladeforums and you had the same thing, same troll behavior, etc. Guys who were ex-navy seals, owned the toys and the like, or survived some outragious street fight. Got all up-tight when asked to prove their creds. Always returned under another user name.

could you guys please refrain from using the word "Zippo" in referring to the troll? Zippo lighters are very dependable and have a solid reputation.

He is such a slug, just posted on the twist post that he now has a double rifle. I think it's my fault. I suggested that he save his allowance, buy two handi-rifles in 500S&W and tape them together so he'd have a real double rifle. He is such a pathetic little man, I would really love to get him on the couch for an hour or two and see what makes him tick...although it might be like opening that coffe can of worms you left behind the seat of your P/U this summer for two days and taking a deep breath.
