I use 64 grains of H335 behind the 347 grain Woodleigh for about 2340fps. Very pleasant.  (Lott, 375H&H, 10.75, 30-06) NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics. | |||

Having used several guns with minimum shoulders I have come to the conclusion that is just another expert misconseption, that has passed down the yellow journalism path, and has been accepted because someone said so.. I have never had a problem with the 375-06 or the 400 Whelen and they are of that same ilk...I headspace on the 10.75s shoulder and so far not a problem...It is argueable, of that I have no doubt but most gunsmiths of some fame have told me its an invalid statment...I am of that opinnion so far. Rip, Kid gloves? Have I asked for quarter from you? Rest assured I will keep shooting my 10.75x68 and hopefully I won't incur any great trama that you claim is forthcoming... Oh yeah, Tell your dad hi, and how I feel for him, what with such a son! Keep on pulling those teeth and installing those braces and in time you too may come to the 10.75x68 as you did the 404 after several years of coaching! Fla30-06, I finally got my 10.75 and am deciding on a powder: H335 or Win748. I have a couple of boxes of the new Hornady softs and need to run some loads across the chrono before filing in the rear leaf. Have you used H335 to push the 400's? Thanks, Bob

Now I'm not in the same league with yous guys. I really do like using 65 grains RL-15 in my 404 Jeffery. Recoil is moderate and since I am using a foam filler plug, RL-15 gives me some very consistant velocities. I know y'all can wretch up the velocity, I'll pass! Rusty We Band of Brothers! I will check my records when I get home. I have done a little 'sperimentin but not much. I did take some handloads to the range about a month or so ago and ran them over the chrono. I will look them up tonight and post. Mike | |||

According to This its very similar to H335 in burn rate, & in between Imr 3031 & 4895. Steve | |||

Sorry to be so late in posting my load data. I was using 66 grains of IMR 4064, with Federal 215M primers and 347 grain Woodleigh softs and got an average of 2192 fps my first trip to the range and 2229 fps my second trip to the range. No pressure signs. As always, start low and work up. Different rifles perform differently. Mike | |||
