Quote: A Jones under lever action would be a classic action fo a two bore. It lends itself to all sizes of actions, and is a very strong lockup. Hog Killer

Here is picture 2 bore barrel with a mockup pivot block on underside butting up against the integral flange on the barrel.I ground off the flange on the top and sides. The section of flange left on bottom should be grooved and amatching protrusion on block set back into it. With block soldered on, set in flange, it would handle any strain that lock system holding against barrel thrust would deliver. I cut one lump, block could easily have more. Or it could have an interupted screw thread up from bottom of action, operated by swivel lever/trigger guard. The 4 bore barrels we are getting set up have enough diameter to leave a similiar flange, also.In picture is 2 bore case, 4 bore case and 458Win for comparison..Ed.

It was built by Ken Owen. Last I heard it was for sale. I'll try calling him this week (I think he's on vacation). I'll get his exact load and post it. I remember from discussing the development of these guns that the shotgun primer was a cruicial step in making it work right.
