Ever attempt to make anything from Osage? Been looking for a large and straight enough piece to make a stock.

My wifes uncle had a 340 Wby stocked in Osage by Robinsons Custom Guns in Waynesburg PA.after the factory stock split while he was shooting it. Her uncle cut the blank himself from some Osage growing on the farm. No telling how old some of our hedgerows are here but the trees are huge. Who knows they might date back to the 1700's when these farms were deeded out to men who fought in the revolution. I know one hedgerow has three tombstones under them that dates back to the late 1780's.

As for the stock it is heavy as all get out and Frank Robinson said never again would he use Osage!!!
