Some of you might have read some of the threads on my 400PDK. I've been using 300 & 400gr Hornday bullets in it. While they have made one shot kills I think I'm blowing up the 300gr. Since it was designed for the 405W and I can push it past 2700 but normally load it to 2675.

The 400 at 2265 is working fine.

Is there anything out there in the 300-350gr range that would handle my velocity and not cost me $1-2 each?

As usual just my $.02

The closest thing that comes to mind would be the 300-gr. Barnes TSX. They run right around $1.00 a bullet but would definitely hold up and perform well at the velocities you're running.

.411 is such a tough diameter these days that it's difficult to find bullets at all, much less cheap ones. All of the things I've seen are pretty spendy - North Fork, Woodleigh, GS Custom, etc. (I believe Swift does occasional runs of a 350-gr. A-Frame from time to time.)
