I've been slowly switching all of my scoped firearms over to these rings. I've seen a poster on biggerhammer, (not a regular) claim that they would not hold a scope on zero with a .308, let alone a .50. Bull. My .308, a Savage Model 10 FLP shoots 1/2 MOA casually. I use them on a 22, a .223, a .30-30, a .308, a .378 WBY (Heavy Recoil, MOA shooter), and a Rebel(Sub MOA, of course!). Never had a problem. Best of all, they don't mark your scope, (Resale value) even better, NO LAPPING! The inserts do give some when the rings are tightened, so your elevation gain will be somewhat less than expected. Of course you can lower the front as well as raise the rear of the scope. This will give you quite a bit of elevation, depending on your choice of inserts. Good luck! I use 2 Burris Signature 30mm rings to hold a big heavy Nightforce scope on my 50 BMG....... 'nuff said!

Hey BMG, I put a set on a .308 no problems, worked great and retained zero.

I have a set of Signature Zee rings on my M70 375 H&H, and it has held up so far through about 280 rounds of medium to full power loads (all load testing from the bench with 270 and 300 gr bullets). This M70 must be one of those with the screw holes drilled and tapped out of line, because it took a boatload of adjustment (via the inserts both front and back) to get the scope centered with the boresighter. Sometimes I wonder if gloss finish scopes are more likely to slip than matte finish. The scope on my rifle is a Burris 3x9 in a matte finish. I just wish the Signature Zees came in a low ring height. I have not used Burris Signature. I use Talley on my .585 and they hold the scope like a vise.
