Are you saying you were delayed on the NICS check?
Once upon a time there was a PhD with same name as me, who was indicted, tried, and convicted of homosexual pedophile abuse of children.
I was delayed on every NICS check until he was locked up.
It did not matter that he had different SSN, DOB, and race than me.
I never filled out any forms, just went back after the delay of about 3 days, IIRC, and they always cleared me.
I laugh about it now, but it shows that the FBI does do something now and then, good, bad, or ugly as it may be.

I always have to wait three days to buy a gun. There must be a bad guy out there with my name. It's a minor inconvenience that I've learned to live with. If I have an immediate need for a gun I have several to choose from at home.
