Finally got out to the range today to test out some woodleigh 350gr PP's and Barnes 350gr TSX's from a CZ 550 worked over by AHR. A beautiful day for shooting. All groups at 100yds off a rest with the scope set at 4x. Three shot groups with about 10 min in between for barrel cool down. 80* F with light wind. Did a bit of shooting with the 470 Merkel, mostly trail boss loads and a few full house 4831/500gr woodleigh loads I've gotten to regulate nicely. Even got the wife to come and shoot her new S&W 67 with some light bullseye loads under 148gr wad cutters.

Great shooting My CZ 550 is shooting 350 tsx's well also. (64gr of RL15, 2320 fps) The 300 TSX with 65 gr of RL15 show excellent promise also. I shot some Northfork 300 SS's, they shoot great I haven't tried H4350 yet, by the looks of the Woodleigh group I should try some What kind of work did Wayne do to your CZ? , he just did a quick tune up to mine (Crossbolt's, trigger, etc)

So that was IMR 4350, couldn't source H4350 and got the load info from Woodleigh for the IMR offering. No chrono yet, but they're from a 23" barrel. Had Wayne do his upgrade 2, and bedded it into to CZ Kevlar stock.

Congrats! (Any one of those loads would work, even factory with the upgrade done.) _______________________

So finally got home and put the mic to the paper. 69.6gr of IMR 4350, once fired remington brass, 350gr woodleigh pp bullet resulted in a 0.560" group edge to edge. Now to just see if I can ever shoot a group like that with it again!

Nice group and great bullet. Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"

now, the second part of the equation: how big will the group be shooting the magazine empty as fast as you can work the bolt?

Are you shure you want a group that small. After the animal is hit with first bullet, the following bullets will go through the same hole and not produce any shock or additional dammage. Just joking. Great rifle and great load. Bob Nisbet DRSS & 348 Lever Winchester Lover Temporarily Displaced Texan If there's no food on your plate when dinner is done, you didn't get enough to eat.

I always recommend to guys whose biggest rifle is a 375 to load the 350gr for hunting Buff. A bit of extra bullet weight provides some extra assurance.

I love those 350 gr. Woodleighs both the PP and the RN..The PP's are tougher and penetrate better, the RN are perfect for the first shot broadside, in herd hunting, they expand the size of a dwarf golf ball and come to rest on the off side skin. That'll be next week's (hopefully) report.

Booked two buff (a cow and a bull), so one for the 375 and one for the 470. I've read numerous times that the 350's really step up a 375 rifle.

That's quite the thought provoking comment
