.366torqueHow pretentious is this?
This is a bit much, a selection of bullets for the well heeled and Bentley crowd.

prof242I just sent this address to all my hunting partners so that we may maintain a stylish sense of appropriateness on future hunts...
And I thought nickel-plated brass with black coated Winchester bullets was flashy.

meteGunbearer #1 hands you your custom rifle, gunbearer #2 opens and presents the cartridge box to you, gunbearer #3 holds the bipod and umbrella to keep off the sun or rain !!

Art S.Actually, a lot of these cartridge boards etc are highly collectible, and can appreciate more than some quality firearms. Often they are really good investments.

GeorgeSI like the idea, although I see myself spending a LOT of time looking for my spent brass in the bushes!

Die Ou Jagtermete, and gunbearer #4 shovels your remains and places them in an approprate fine finished box.

.366torqueI wonder what effect gold would have on the barrel? Would it be the same as lube or slow the bullet down?

SDhunterGood grief,

You might be a redneck if..... you think that is a crazy idea.

Michael RobinsonWhat do you mean?
Doesn't everyone use platinum-plated, monogrammed cartridge cases and gold-plated bullets?
Tsk, tsk. Tally ho, chaps!

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Doug,
I have a feeling the R&D team wasn't involved at all in this offering. Looks like it came straight from the marketing department to me.

ireload2What is with the el cheapo gold plated bullets?
They should be solid 24K for real pride in ownership.
Reminds me of the guy that told his wife he needed a new rifle each hunting season. He convinced her it was not good to take a used worn rifle out for each new hunting season.

Stryker60“Each cartridge case is finished with Ruthenium – a high quality platinum metal.â€
Ruthenium is a hard, white metal. It does not tarnish at room temperatures, but oxidises in air at about 800°C. The metal is not attacked by hot or cold acids or aqua regia, but when potassium chlorate is added to the solution, it oxidises explosively.
http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/Ru/key.htmlInteresting, oxidizes explosively, eh?

.366torqueSo Stryker60, the bottom line would be these carts are friggin' expensive!!
Is this a safe assumption? My German is nil, and a German friend laughed (actually more akin to a deep, roaring, belly howling fit of laughter) at the mention of phoning RWS to find out how much.
