CZ 550 Magnum action question
I recently acquired a CZ 550 Magnum action, ser# 500xx, with set trigger. The magazine box is stamped 375 H&H, but the bolt face is .608, obviously not .375. The action appears as new, and there is no obvious indication that the face has been enlarged (although a good job should leave no evidence). The only calibers I have been able to find with this rim diameter are in the .45-70 family.
Any information or ideas on this configuation?

That might be just the slop allowed for the .590"-diameter rim of a .416 Rigby.
It would not be unusual to find a ribbed (.375 H&H) box on a .416 Rigby action.
I have, as well as the non-ribbed (.458 WM) box,
on different factory .416 Rigby rifles I have purchased, new, in box.

Somebody may have altered the bolt face, if you do not know the history,
or it may be pristine OEM.
I bet it works fine for .416 Rigby.

My 416 Rigby had a 375 mag box.

Many thanks, sage ones! I knew I'd get good info here. Think I'll put this up on the classifieds board once I get some pics - .416 recoil is just too much for me these days. If I do get a chance at an Africa trip while I'm still able, a .375 will be more my speed. ;-)
