Has anyone used these? I'm thinking of loading them for my 375 H&H... should ruin an elk's day. What powders are you using? Brad

I've loaded and shot the Speers but not at game so can't offer any opinions about them but can highly recommend R15 powder for the 375. I load only 300gr bullets and it seems to offer great performance without severe powder compression.

Brad, They work great..I actually believe they may be a little tougher than most bullets.. ------------------

I have used them on game here in Alaska, and I second Ray's opinion. I would choose them over the nosler partitions, except for perhaps on the big brown bears.

Sorry - I was talking crap. Checked my F/S conversion and I actually just broke 800m/s = 2622f/s - which gave pressure signs (primers slightly cratered) and I backed off to 790m/s which is 2585f/s. But still a lot better speed (but not accuracy) than I got with Barnes. Factory Sako 270grs Barnes clocked only 2513f/s out of my barrel but they were super-accurate and I ended up shooting springbok and gemsbok with them as I thought accuracy more important than bullet drop. As I knew I was going to shoot far anyway we sighted in the rifles at 250meters. Rgds.Peter
