Congratulations jeffe for shooting a nice tight group for such a big bore! I think you got a winner there. You ought to be proud for building that winner. A 550-570-grain at around 2200 fps should be a good load for my 500 big bore. Thanks.

500N,
Yep, it sure is the badge and cap, makes me dream of Africa..,, and the boots... sure easier to shoot a cannon with 5# of nyati hide holding you onto the ground...

I should be taking it pig hunting in a month or so, but life is so packed wiht other things, right now, that I just don't know.

I'll be shooting with 470mbogo today. Hope he likes it.

Jeffe,

Just thought I'd let you know that your post made me go stroke my 470 Mbogo a few times. Can't wait til I can get back to the range with it. I haven't had a chance to do any shooting since I moved.

Cheers,
Canuck

Hey, take it easy on 470nitro! It was just a typo. He meant to say 10 yards offhand.

Hi Jeffe,
Hey it was a real priveledge to meet and shoot with you. You can be really proud of the work you've done on your 500. The balance and feel of the gun is excellent and it is a shooter. Thanks for the hospitality it really made our 8 hour stop over go by quickly. I'm really impressed with Fritz's bullets also. There were some waiting here for me when I arrived home. I'm going to load them up as soon as I get back from Toronto. They are .474 and 540 grains which should be about perfect for the 470 Mbogo. I'm going to look for a velocity of 2400 fps even. Thanks again and say hi to your wife and family for Hilary and I. Let me know how Mike's 470 progresses.
Take care,
470 Mbogo

470,
It was truely my pleasure. enjoyed the day, and sharing some redneck lunch with yall. Your wife is a true gem. And it's always a pleasure to meet a gentleman.

Lemme tell the guys, 470 can SHOOT. We had a hoot at the range, and video taped 1 shot each... was a blast.

Fritz' bullets are just all there is for the 500, and i bet for everything else. Can't wait to get some loaded up for my 376.

cheers mBogo...

Jeffe
