Andre, I love the look of your refinished stock. I also have a Pre-64 M&0 375H&H. I have added a Supergrade stock to it, but it needs refinishing as well. Also, for $1100, you stole that rifle. You should feel bad for getting such a great deal Tim

I have had three original .375s, three original .300s and five original .338s, plus two superb H&H actions I bought in the USA, when we Canucks could still do so. I have one .375 and four .338s at present. I use mine although they are in pretty nice shape, because that is what they are for, IMHO. I think the prices quoted are a bit high, but, if you buiy them and never use them, they will continue to increase in value. However, once you find out what damned good rifles they are, not using them is kinda difficult. I's try an offer of maybe $1800-1900 on the "younger" one and see what happens. Good luck!

While we are talking old safari workhorse winchesters,What is the price range -value-of the lesser calibers say 308.270,30-06,300,338 in 90-99 percent condition? The old allready used/hunted rifles look like they can be hunted/shot and still keep there value,One thing is for sure-They will not be makeing anymore....Does 500 - 1100 sound about right? Are they good shooters?Does anyone not like them or know any negitive things to tell?

Pre-64 .375's will continue to appreciate, if in excellent or better condition. Any pre-64 M70 .375 will shoot any safe .375 H&H ammo.....

"Shooter" pre-64 M-70s, NRA Very Good (90-95% finish), no alterations except for maybe a pad, not cut too short: 243, 308, 270, 30-06, about $450-$750. 300, 338 mags, $600-$900. 375s, $1000-$1500. That's about what they go for down here, but prices are high overall in Texas.
