505 Gibbs loads
My Ph barreled action should arrive next week.
I got all the parts and reloading stuff in house or on the way. I got woodleighs and Barnes tsx and banded solids on the way. I need a load for 2150 fps with the 500-535 gr bullet. I am hoping to have her shooting by the shoot and hoot.

500 FanYou can get load data from the original A2 loading manual, "Any shot you want" which is available on line from booktrail.com
I shoot a 505 Gibbs and absolutely love the cartridge and 99% of the negative "stuff" written about it done by people who have no experience with one and have never even shot one.
Ryan Breeding has some dragon breath loads that I think are above my pain level; at least for a regular diet.
Good Shooting!
You will find it very comfortable to shoot at 2150 fps - as long as your gun fits you etc - the usual things.
It is a great cartridge, you will love it.

jeffeossoJD shoots my 500 JEffery just fine -- he can handle it.
I talked To MRC yesterday, They went to chamber it but the reamer grew legs in the last week.
They had one overnighted and were going to try to get it out today, if not it will go out Monday. I am out of town 17th through the 19th
I will try my like hell to get her shooting by the shoot and hoot. I will bring it even if its not done for all to see and fondle. I had MPI inlet the stock for the granite mountain action its the 550 mag stock. I am hoping that the action will fit with out to much build up required for a full hight magazine. If the stock is close I get her done in time, each build of Devcon takes 12 hours to dry hard enough to work; that could slow things down big time.
I got dies and 100 case and bullets and a pound of rl 25 to get started. I got the new Barnes edition also for all to see, it has TSX loads listed.

338UserI use 130gn AR2209 (equiv H4350) with the 600gn Woodleigh for 2270 fps. This is with Bertram cases, and FED215 primers. I have used 132gn AR2213SC (Equiv H4831SC) with the 525gn Woodleigh (same cases & primers) for 2300 fps. I expect you will get around 2150 if you use 128gn AR2213SC with the 525gn bullet. I don't like to go lower than 128gn of powder in that big case as I have had some error readings on my chronograph which (I think) were due to unburned powder at 126gn loads.
