Hi, Just picked up one of these in very nice shape, with nice wood (tigerstripe), essentially 90-95% condition. Rifle was originally bought in 1968 per the guy I got it from - odd given the years the M72 was made as far as I know, which is ~'72-'76. Siderail is marked "Steyr - Daimler - Puch A.G. Steyr Mannlicher Mod. S" and it is the lighter, 25" barreled model, not the heavy barreled ST model. Any info on this rifle, in particular value for insurance purposes? Also, any lines on a spare rotary clip or options for quick detach scope mounts? Thanks a bunch, T P.S. will post pics tomorrow or Thurs.

Pics: I have since found out the M72 is apparently a Mannlicher Schoenauer marked rifle, while this type S is Steyr Mannlicher marked. The difference between them (one of the differences anyway) is the plastic trigger guard components on the Steyr, and metal components on the M-S. Also, the type S was made in 1968, while the M72 was made later. Anyone know if I have this correct, and what the value may be? T
