I finished turning some sample brass for the 600 OK #1, #2 & #3 and thought a side-by-side comparison was in order. All have the same belt and rim dimensions. The #1 is 3.000 OAL, the #2 is 3.200 OAL and the #3 is 3.300 OAL. This project has come to pass is little over a year and has function flawlessly thus far. This is proof enough to me that there is some real talent and knowledge on this board. I've spent 30 plus years machining and designing various parts and assemblies and rarely does one go so smoothly and true to plan. Rob my hat is off to you. John

Fritz454- You do fantastic work! This project would not have gone as smoothly without your support. That 600 Ok-3 case really looks formidable. Perhaps Overkill himself will be the first to shoot it! I bet it's really not as bad as we think!-Rob

RGB! Is there a .600 OK-3? What max velocity? I have lost a lot of my weight. In 6 months I have lost over 90 pounds. So I am not sure that I would shoot a full loaded OK-3

fritz454, Nice looking rounds. Can you tell us about the work on the mag box for the 600 OK? Thanks.

500grains - Thanks. The mag boxes are designed and I have a couple of working prototypes for the CZ. These are made from Delrin and would not be suitable for a rifle but the programs, fixtures and end result is all worked out. I only need the time to make a few out of 4140.

Did you design a new follower, or does it use the cz follower? Is a replacement spring necessary? May I advise caution: This type of extracurricular work may cut into your free time and consequently decrease the total number of prarie dogs you shoot this year.

500grains, It uses the CZ follower and spring, which still has enough strength to push up loaded rounds. If the spring is weaker than the ones I have at the shop then it may be an issue but so far it has not. I have two lengths one that will get you 3 600 Oks and one that will get you 4 or possibly 5 (if I can get away with a thinner floor plate when it is made out of steel). This has cut into my rat shooting this year but I've still had time to shoot a couple hundred rock chucks and many times that many gophers. I have the advantage of being able to open one of the side doors at the shop and take a few shots at gophers. It has been a bumper year for them. No prairie poodles yet but I've got some time left this summer.
