Remington sells 375 H&H cartridges with 270 grain soft point bullets in their "Express" line. What animals are these bullets intended for? Would you recommend it for African plains game? Elk? Bears? I ask because I just got my rifle, and I can buy this ammo relatively cheap (got a case now). If I were to use a lot of it practicing and found it shot well (accurately), I'm wondering whether it is a good cartridge to stick with in a 270 grain bullet. H. C.

Henry, There's no reason you couldn't use these bullets on elk, moose, and bears in the U.S., as well as just about any plains game in Africa. On creatures like wildebeest, eland, and roan, I would avoid shooting the shoulder, preferring instead to put it right behind the shoulder. George
