Mike,

Try this for technical reviews on Digital Cameras

DP Review

You can print out the pictures (you may want to buy a photo printer specifically for that task). I have software that allows me to put the pics on CD and play them on my TV (with a musical sound track).

Terry

The first time I saw a Kangaroo in the spotlight I was reminded of the Ring Wriaths in the Fellowship of the Ring. I don't know why but it was the first thought that popped into my head. They sit there like skinny little men, all Gray and weird looking.

I've got some video but I am hesitant to share it as it would keep quite a few Aussies from becoming the Prime Minister, and a few Americans from becoming President.

Thanks for that link. I had a quick look at what came up, but the problem for me is I know nothing about the cameras or cameras in general.

Is there a digital camera that might be the counterpart of a Sako 270 or 30/06 with Leupold scope....Or will the Ruger Stainless "camera" with a Tasco do the job.

Do the cameras have the counterpart of a Rem 700 being a much better starting point for serious accuracy than say a Sako.

Lastly and something NitroX will be able to put light on....are those cameras in your link the same "name etc" in Australia. In other words, you might recommend to an Australian to buy a Model 70 Super Grade in 270....and that is all easy because that is what it is called in Australia.

I am beginning to get a feeling for some of the people who post up their seemingly simple questions on Rem 700 Vs M70...300 Winchester Vs 300 WSM and etc. and etc.

My suggestion is to put the videos up on the African forum.

Well before we had a forum for every activity known to man, some of us Australians posted on the African forum about such things. In fact if my memory is serving me well one of the biggest threads to run on the African Hunting forum was a thread that after a few postings broke out into the Australian shooting scene. I think on that thread a couple of Australians also addressed the Texas hobby farmers Ray Atkinson has yet to recover.

I could have taken messy photos on the NE.com Big Bore Boar Hunt last year.

But in the interests of taste we covered the gaping wounds with grass and positioned the pigs to avoid the huge exit holes.

I remember one black pig having pretty much a hole where its left hind hip used to be.

Certainly knocked them about.

Don't have any roo photos to mind but soon will. They will make fantastic practice targets for running swing shots.

I think the only thing Mikey-Boy or(Mike375) RSSSS-2 shoots off is his mouth. This Wanker NEVER POSTS PICTURES OF HIS GUNS OR THE MILLIONS OF CRITTERS HE IMAGINES He HAS SHOT. ISN"T THAT SO MIKEY-BOY? He's as much a troll as ScottS assuming they are not the same. As I've said before, I have a darn good idea how he's doing it too!-Rob

How come we never see any photos of you, your rifles or these hundreds of roo shoots you keep mentioning?

Because all those shoots were in his imagination.

416, how the hell do you improve the 378 Wthby.? I thought the case was maxed out as far as it can go. Only thing I can think of is to move the shoulder forward a wee bit.

You want to hijack the thread and you start whinging ! There's a Photography forum if you want to learn how to use your Pentax. Nice try at attempting to divert the topic though.

My threads go as far as they are interesting, having several hundred posts of pyscho raving, off topic matter, full of trolls doesn't really interest me. Hey if you get your thrills that way, go for it.

I think a night-time photo of a big bore being fired would be quite spectacular, don't you? One of the shooting mags in Aust had one on its front cover about 15 years ago. Great photo.

If you need help posting them just ask

I would think a big bore being shot at night would make a great discharge for a photograph.

I'm amazed at Mike375. No photographs?

NitroX,

You had a genuine opportunity to add some input on digital cameras for someone like me. Refer to my posting a few up.

But instead you try and run a thread.......much to your loss.

By the way, I know you are keen to start a thread that runs well.....but they never go anywhere if you start them off the back of another poster. You have tried a few times to get something running and they all fail. Starting threads on "Mike375" will not help your problem.

Your last posting suggests I was wasting my time with inviting your input on digital cameras.
